Best Laptop ever owned

I glued the speaker grill back and it's "ok" for now. Decided to write this post so to give my experience to anyone considering buying a Razer book 13. I live in Europe, so I don't know if Razer's support is different in the USA.

Best Laptop ever owned

After 4 months of owning a Razer Book 13, I do not recommend it.

Well at first the Razer Book 13 made a great impression on me (see my previous review for more detais). But now after 4 months I can say that although this machine is so great, it just isn't that great. First: The hinge. The tape that should hide the display cable now peeled off and stands right out.

Well designed, solid build construction. The keyboard has a nice tactile but is slightly shallow. The touchpad is firm with a solid thump for a click, though the surface is a tad rough. Unfortunately the fans are on nearly constantly, even when not doing anything. This makes it pretty annoying to us...

For a $2,000 computer though, you really do not expect there to be this many flaws. Many of the flaws are just small annoyances but you add them up, realize they will never go away, and they become a big deal. Razer should have done a lot more quality assurance testing on the Razer Book 13. They market themselves as a brand with high quality products like Apple and then don't deliver on that level of quality with the Razer Book 13.

Computer continually crashes with a wide variety of errors and issues. It is unusable. Every possible diagnostic and update and reset has been made with the help of customer support. I want to preface this post by saying I really love the Razer Book 13. The 16:10 aspect ratio and slim design really fit what I was looking for in a laptop that doesn't need to necessarily play games.
