Q Acoustics 3020i

since then ive obviously gone back to my old speakers ( q acoustics 2000 series something) and my stepdad has given me this amp. i guess we live and we learn and the lesson of the day is dont use cheap ebay amps if you like your new speakers. and on the upside i got a new amp out of it which is actually more expensive then the what i paid for the 3020i's so its not all bad, but it is definitely sad.

I really wanted to love these speakers because of how beautiful they are, but the sound is absolutely horrible. I can't believe these are $350 speakers. Compared to similarly priced offerings by audioengine.. these fall flat in all categories.

I recently changed my "old" Q acoustics 3020i's for the Kef q350's, and there are improvements in many aspects. The most important for me is in soundstage and imaging, now i have holografic-like sound. Then in the "flatness" of the response, now i can hear clearly the lyrics and bronce instruments ,because there isn't a dip between 2-5 Khz.

These speakers present the instruments across a natural and spacious soundscape. The instruments that are difficult to reproduce well - the diaphanous saxophone, the wide ranged piano, and the wonder of the voice are all to be heard in their true tonality. Finally pulled the trigger and set up my home theater, it replaced a soundbar and wireless subwoofer and it's a drastic difference. Denon reciever from Costco, q acoustics 3020i and svs pb1000 sub. All fairly entry level stuff, but massive improvement in the movie watching experience.

These little speakers are powerful and make my small receiver sound like a much more expensive stereo system. These little guys really surprised me with the amazing sound they produce out of those little boxes. Flat, smooth, and spacious. Add a little more bass extension and some real wood veneer and you really couldn’t ask for more. My Marantz 7000N really makes ‘em sing.

get a pair of Q Acoustics 3020i and with the rest of the money get a cheap used receiver. Doesn't even need HDMI, optical will do for stereo. When you have more money, add a subwoofer, then replace your receiver with something more modern, after that, add a center speakers(if you feel like you need it) and finally surrounds(don't need to spend more than like $100 on them).

I wasn’t sure if they hype would be true for these speakers but I’ve been consistently pleased. They sound “right” to my ears. They’re currently handling a mix of music inputs between vinyl and streaming and sound great in each use. Highly recommend.
