If not, I think of all types of music, classical benefits the most from digital formats because it has wide dynamic range and a lot of quiet parts, so surface noise is extra annoying. I say this as a person who collects records, including classical records. Assuming $1500 has to include a turntable though, I think you’d be good with a pair of Wharfedale 12.2 or Polk R200, a Yamaha A-S501, and a Fluance RT82 (comes with an OM10 rather than an OM5E, which gives you way more stylus upgrade flexibility).
