Panasonic Lumix GH4 are $770 at B&H for a kit with an extra battery and a 64GB SD card. Then you can use the remaining on a lens or 2 per camera and maybe a tripod and lights. To me, the A6400 and XT-30 would be just on the small side. The GH4 does have some kind of heft to it, but not intimidating.

I own one and it's a great camera I would highly recommend it to anyone! I started with Canon DSLR Cameras, then switched to Sony mirrorless and finally to Panasonic GH4 and GH5's before finally getting the Full Frame Lumix S5. This hands down has the best Menu system and the color science is on Par with Canon and better than Sony. I use it almost exclusively for Video production but it takes stunning Pictures as well.
