However, for the past year or so i've been leaning more and more towards photography instead and that's where i find the G7 to be a bit lacking, especially in low light situations. I'm not a professional so i'm not looking to go full frame (APS-C should be fine).

A lightweight that punches above it's class
What a camera you're getting for this price point! The Panasonic G7 is the sixth camera in their G series line, and I have to say they have finally nailed it. This camera sits right in the sweet spot of performance, size, and price. It is considered a mid level camera but can do just about anything ...

Best camera under $800 for filiming surfing?
Used Lumix G7/G95/GH4/G9 in ascending price order depending on what you can get I'd say. Panasonic 14-140mm Lens is good, or any cheaper lens you can get used. That'll get you pretty far for under $1k.

Panasonic Lumix G7 review - a quick overview!
Tell you all about Panasonic's new mirrorless camera, the Lumix G, seven there it is the G seven. This is a mid-range mirrorless camera, so it offers a step of mental models without costing complication of high-end models like Panasonic gh4 but like the gh4 is headline specification is that it will film 4k video. Now you may think I don't need for PVD

All purpose camera recommendation with £300 budget
For close up photos and long distance photos respectively as you mentioned you’ll need multiple lenses, and I’m afraid you can forget getting a camera body that will do everything that you’ve mentioned and more than one lens for £300. Try £600 and you can probably sort yourself out with a decent second hand camera. If you were willing to spend more you could get a second hand Lumix G7 with a kit lens for around the £500 mark.
Coolpix P950 vs Z5
I sometimes struggle with that with my Lumix G7 and that's quite a bit more cut for the job. If you don't want FF because of the size, I'd suggest the Z50 or the new ZFc.

I absolutely love this camera. I did hours and hours of research before spending this much money on a SLR/DSLR camera, and hands down this camera came up as the best choice. It has all the features and quality of cameras that cost twice as much. It's also a perfect starter camera for someone looking...
