 The directions ask you to use a spatula to clean every bit of batter out of the cup each time, why not just make the cup bigger or have a larger cup with a fill line? When using the full cup my waffles never came out completely round or full.   You can't add toppings with this design unless you premix them in the batter.  I have one kid who likes chocolate chips, another blueberries, and I like to add pecans and a cinnamon swirl, not happening here unless you divide your batter or mix in the tiny pour cup.  Gravity is working against having fluffy waffles, I just don't understand the idea of making a waffle vertical, causing the batter have to to work harder to rise to the top

The pros: High quality material. Amazingly non stick, no spray needed, waffles easily slide right out.  Waffles come out well cooked, leave them in longer after the green light turns on and they get nice and crisp on the outside. 

Overall I would not recommend this design.  It's just unnecessary and counter productive to the way waffles rise.  Great quality brand, choose a different model.

My usual batter did not run into the maker through the portal at the top (which, by the way gets very very hot). I had to turn on the side and add my better. I will use until it wears out but not the best I have used.

This waffle maker is better at making a mess than waffles, and that mess is impossible to completely clean. Where to start? The positives (because there really is only one to cover): the actual cooking surface is very slick and easy to clean - done. The problem is with the design, which is flawed. You would think a waffle maker designed to be filled with batter in a vertical configuration (and not designed to be disassembled for cleaning) would contain the batter as designed

 Well, this one doesn’t meet that obvious design goal. This waffle maker leaks batter out the sides and into side crevices to include the hinge - that are impossible to clean..

 The batter is still light after 10 minutes +. I use one of the more popular batter brands (Birch Benders), and it has yet to fully cook a waffle, and it has leaked every time (making several batches, adjusting the thickness of the batter etc., with essentially the same results every time). I will be seeking a return and refund

This vertical, Belgian-Waffle maker is handy dandy and makes great waffles if you can figure out the right timing without unlocking and opening the baking irons. The appliance has a power light, and a "ready to cook" light-indicator. The irons get extremely hot, which makes it a dangerous appliance if you got to open it in order to see the doneness of the waffle. Best bet is to second guess it
