[Oris] Tweed, leather, coffee and Oris.
Oris Big Crown Date pointer, which I have owned for just over a year now. I bought it initially (second hand) as a watch for special occasions and formal wear but I love the style so much it's become my daily wearer. Certainly makes the continued work-from-home slog pass a little bit easier.
[Zeppelin] 100 Years Zeppelin ED.1 - What are your thoughts?
I actually have this model but with the leather band and love it. Zeppelin and Junkers are pretty solid imo. Look up Junghans and Depending on your budget the Seiko alpinist, Oris Big Crown were watches I used until I purchased my current daily.
[SOTC] Until the crisis blows over, this is it!
It's been put on a Belhamel strap for extra comfort. Oris Big Crown Pointer Date - My first "fancy" automatic, I knew this needs to be in the collection as soon as I saw reviews online. It gets tons of wrist time still, and weirdly the only watch I have received compliments for from others. The pointer date function and cathedral hands make the dial quite unique imo.
[Oris] A graduation present to myself
I have 5 watches that total less than $1,000 so this was a big leap. It is the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date model number 75475434361M. Why did I choose this watch for my first luxury watch? The aesthetics obviously were a big draw.
[ORIS BCPD] I think i need to wear this more
This shot in particular really blew me away once I threw it into Lightroom...I definitely need to wear this more often. Oris Big Crown Pointer Date in 36mm on a handmade custom leather strap. Due to its old timey vibe I really only bust this out on special occasions that require slacks and collar but now I think I need to just wear it to be able to look at it on any normal day. Pointer date is such a cool concept and makes the Oris design such a standout classic.
Oris Big Crown Pointer Date: If You Only Want to Have One Nice Watch, This Could Be It
Verdict: The Big Crown Pointer Date is hard watch not to love, and sure enough, I had no fewer than three watch-obsessing colleagues express admiration for the Oris. It’s a handsome watch, but it also feels like a practical one, one you can wear it to the office, to the park, to fancy parties, and pretty much anywhere else. If you want to have one nice watch, and only one nice watch, the Big Crown is as good an option as any
[Oris] No more lurking: this is the very beginning of what I hope will eventually turn into a collection
As a birthday gift to myself, I picked up this Oris Big Crown Pointer Date (ref. 01 754 7741). I did a fair amount of research on brands in this price range before landing on Oris (I believe the r/Watches designation for Oris is “quasi-luxury”), but for reasons I find hard to describe, I was drawn instantly to this watch.
