The Orient Mako II – A Big Shark in a Bigger Ocean
Final Thoughts Affordable Japanese diver watches continue to occupy the market to this day. Although there are a wide variety of them, not many can step up to the quality of the Mako II. If you were to look for another wristwatch under $200 that provides the same all-rounded strengths as the Mako II, chances are you probably won’t be having much luck

[Orient] My thoughts on my first automatic watch - Mako II
- The bracelet is pretty awful, ugly and does not taper towards the clasp making it look disproportionately clunky. Hence I swapped it out with a distressed leather strap. Looking back, if I knew what I knew today, I would not have bought this watch.

Orient Mako II Review An Upgraded Classic Diving Watch - iknowwatches.com
Final Thoughts On The Orient Mako II. The original Mako watch was loved and worn by many. So much so that almost more than a decade later Orient caved and gave us the Mako II – keeping everything we loved about the original the same, but improving the flaws

Gains over 30 Seconds a Day
I own a dozen Orient watches. I'm very experienced with the brand. All of my other Orients are better timekeepers, within 6 spd over the course of a week. This specimen isn't as good as the others. My watch was sold by and fulfilled by Amazon. Shipment was very careless -- they placed the white Orie...

Amazing Budget Diving Automatic
This is my first automatic diving watch and am very glad with this. This is my second Orient watch and I love it. Have gotten many compliments, the sunburnt blue dial and Pepsi dial are beautifu.

Amazing watch!
Love everything about this watch. Orient is what Seiko used to be (I know they are part of the same larger corporation). Great colors on this piece and it is just solid with a great movement. Believable water resistance. Legit dive watch.

[Bulova Lunar Pilot] Got a new watch to celebrate being ABD in my PhD program!
I heard that it was a big watch and people always commented “if only it were 40mm, it would be perfect,” but man, it is a delight to wear. My other watches are an Apple Watch, an Orient Mako II, an Orient Kano, and an Islander auto with the open heart dial in cream, so this is my first nice quartz movement watch.

Orient Mako II Review | The Best Affordable Mechanical Diver?
Yes, this watch does not have the ISO standards that the SK X line would have and I think many people might prefer the Rey line or want to go for the newer design of the make of three. However, I think all of these points lead to why this watch has become quite special as of late. Now, the price points are just continuing to go down and staying true to form as the SK X goes up and the orient make of three line is now out and available, not as available as this
