Not up to spec: A step backward for Olight
I specialize in tech reviews and have been an LED flashlight collector of 17 years. When Olight released its groundbreaking S1 Baton tiny torch in 2015, I was one of the first buyers and still use it weekly. I eagerly looked forward to writing about this newest model. Sadly, it’s a step backward and...

A step back for olight's EDC.
I've had quite a few Olight flashlights. I started with a S2 Baton, lost the first one in a tropical storm while trying to get everything secure. I liked it so much I bought another. This one I had until I wore a hole through the button. I then bought a S1 which I also loved until it "disappeared" a...

Review: The Micro-Sized Olight Baton 3 - The Armory Life
That is quite an impressive throw coming from such a small flashlight. The Baton 3 has another feature I haven’t personally seen in a flashlight, especially one so small. The Baton 3 has two timer settings that once reached, the light will shut itself off

Looks neat, but does not charge properly
I've tried multiple chargers that are recommend by Olight, but none will charge the flashlight. The case will get very hot after 30-45 minutes. The charger always starts off blinking red and then turns solid red, but will not charge past that point. I own several Olight products and this one is a fa...

Review: Olight Baton 3 Premium Edition
If you like to night-hike or fish, are taking a camping trip off the grid, or need something to pack in your survival bag, then this flashlight is going to be compact, light, and will not need to be charged as often as other flashlights. Conclusion The Olight Baton 3 Premium Edition is an impressive flashlight. It has a variety of options, and they are easy to cycle through with the single button on the side

If it's not too embarrassing, what is your most disappointing flashlight purchase?
I am not a tint snob at all, but that tint was beyond disappointing, and is the only tint I have ever seen that I have found truly unacceptable. * Olight Baton 3. I just sorta assumed it would just be a S1R II with a better driver or emitter. Instead, it had no lanyard hole in the light (only in the clip), could only use Olights proprietary batteries, and had an obviously worse tint than the S1R II as well.
Excellent in Most Respects
Excellent build quality. At its brightest light this may even have defensive potential; two click clicks takes you to the Turbo setting (1,200 lumens) which is blinding. My only wish is that some kind of cap was provided for the base. The base is magnetized to retain the provided USB charger and the...
