This performs pretty neck and neck with the previous X62 in performance mode, but offered way better performance running with the fans nerfed.

Cooler: NZXT Kraken Z63 (This is a complete waste of $200 but I get to put GIFs on a tiny screen). Motherboard: ASRock B550 Taichi (The gold accents match the RAM modules).

Performs a bit better than my Arctic Freezer II 120mm AIO on my Ryzen 5700x in regard to temperature. The arctic was however perfectly silent. during gaming i've never seen the chip go past mid 70c, so there's no much to worry about. you just have to tune your fan curve so that they're not going wild at idle bc they see that 50-60c and ramp it up. if you're going liquid cooling i'd recommend getting a cooler that has fan headers coming off the block like the nzxt z63 since that allows you to set fan profiles not off cpu temps but off liquid temps, which is better way to judge thermal performance with liquid coolers.

With the Z63 I would hover around low-mid 50s in normal desktop / browing and spike to low 70s when doing rendering or encoding. With the Liquid Freezer, I'm hovering around mid-high 50s for normal use, and spiking in the high 70s. The noise is not noticably different to my previous setup, which was in a Define Nano S. Can definitely recommend this cooler with this CPU. I haven't stressed it a lot yet, beyond 5-10 mins of handbrake encoding.

I had the Cougar QBX before, great case but I started to render quite often so I wanted a cooler option both for temps and aesthetics. I choosed the NZXT Kraken Z63 280mm aio for future proof cooling and the gpu side is incredibly roomy even with the standoff mod for the motherboard.
