With the Nomatic, it’s too big for me to use as a day pack. I like lighter and more quick access bags for out on the go.

Nice backpack but lacking in space. Wouldn’t fit gym shoes and a hygiene kit. It’s great for maybe a single overnight but as guy that is built and wears a size 10.5 shoe. I wasn’t able to fit my hygiene kit with shoes and clothes. The back pack is sturdy and made with good construction.

I bought the Nomatic Travel Pack last month and it's got the right amount of organization I'm looking for, but it doesn't feel quite right overall. The tarpaulin on the Nomatic is durable but I'm always worried about scratching it, whereas I never had that concern with the GR1. Since the tarpaulin is rigid, the bag also looks weird when packed out and I'm concerned about permanently creasing the material. I also have issues with Nomatic's QC and some odd design choices (handle on the straps, interior divider gets in the way when not in use, water bottle holders get caught on things).

I am also missing the sunglasses container and keychain expansion?? It Appears the remainder of the luggage features could be nice. We have not traveled with the luggage and are debating if we should return it to a Costco.

Clamshell opening has become the most convenient way to pack the back and unsurprisingly the Travel Pack utilizes this design. A side handle for convenient brief-mode carry. One external water bottle has a nice stretchy fabric that can accommodate larger water bottles (32 OZ nalgene fit just fine) and is barely noticeable when empty. A quick access pocket on top of the bag with also a front flat pocket is everything I could possibly ask to store my most commonly used items without the need to go inside the bag.

Allow me to preface this review, by stating that I travel for business about 50-60k a year. This Travel pack, that I have used for the last 5 months, has a lot of great features and versatility.
