But if you try to get a lens that does both, it's going to be expensive and big, even for a smaller sensor. It's why the Nikon P1000 is such a hulking big camera for a 1/2.3"-format sensor. But something like a Panasonic FZ1000 or Sony RX10 series can get you a lot of zoom with a 1" sensor and decent low-light capability; while a Sony RX100 or Canon G7 X series is more pocketable and good for closer subjects in low-ish light.
