MSI Optix MAG251RX use the same panel, but consensus that the VG259QM does motion better. Asus PG259QN is a 360hz IPS that's out but it's not clear to me the pixel response is actually any better than the 280/240hz ones. My VG259QM is slightly behind a Dell S2417DG in motion clarity, but my competitive FPS days are over so it's not a big deal to me. If you're not hard on IPS, the best TN I'm aware of for motion clarity is Acer XF252Q, which has shaved a few milliseconds off the previous generation 144/240hz TN panels.

If you are willing to go back to 1080p, go for a 240hz monitor and most likely it will have very good response time and less overshoot than average at all refresh rates almost close to TN performance, I'd recommend the MSI Optix Mag251rx or the Dell Alienware AW2521HF, both are 1080p and both have a whooping refresh rate of 240hz, either of them will get you very good performance with very little tweaking to the modes (AW2521HF for example works great on fast mode at both max refresh rate and at the lower end of 60hz).

Hello there, I recently purchased a MSI MAG251RX and while the monitor performs marvellous Im having this flickering when playing some games. It happens in Doom Eternal and Diabotical, meanwhile in other games like PUBG or Overwatch it never happens. The flickering is not massive but when it starts to happen aside from the flicker itself you can see like a "grid" in the screen.
