The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio is a great all-rounder, with a good screen, keyboard, build quality and trackpad. It has USB-A and USB-C ports for added convenience, but RAM is not upgradeable. Battery life is excellent and Windows Hello face unlock is fast and reliable. The speakers are fitted behind the keyboard between the screen, which may affect sound quality. The form factor offers more muscle and cooling than the Surface Pro but lacks some of its advantages such as having hot parts off your lap and propped up off the desk.

Also, if it was asleep when you opened it, the laptop wakes up automatically, but it takes a couple of seconds, which was enough for me to click the power button and turn it off 🤦‍♂️. Battery life is honestly shite. No matter what I did, it never gave me substantially more than 4 hours.

This is something I'll have to keep an eye on. The 3:2 screen on my Surface Laptop was the thing that pushed me over the edge vs the Dell XPS & the HP Envy. I'd definitely be interested in this for my desktop.

Great Surface

The overall experience is great, there are some glitches, I think it’s because I purchased this as one of the first models. The battery life could be better and I wish there were case options with the device but it’s a good experience.

Great all rounder in terms of screen, keyboard, build quality, trackpad, battery life. Also has a USB-A port if needed but the omission here is Thunderbolt support.

Good product but battery life not so good

Very good operation experience, nice screen. Significant improvement on screen & keyboard match and protection. But the battery seems much less hours than indicated.
