Marantz NR1200 Review - Are you receiving? « 7Review
That you can do this while still collating your video sources makes the NR1200 unquestionably niche, but very clever too. Considered as a bridge between the hi-fi and home cinema worlds, it has appeal. If you are looking to rationalise your AV equipment without losing the convenience that AV receivers bring, this is a fine place to start ■ 9 Total Score The perfect product for those seeking to reduce clutter without losing features - and it sounds good too
I recently was able to get my hands on a Marantz NR1200 to move past just TV speakers. Our living room doesn't have a lot of space, but I'm looking to add a pair of passive satellite or (compact) bookshelf speakers and a sub-woofer that provide me with sort of the best all-round listening experience for TV, music, and movies.
NR1200; an Excellent Receiver!
I purchased the Marantz NR1200 to replace an older stereo receiver with no HDMI inputs. Setup of the NR1200 was easy using the on-screen prompts and menus. The sound quality is excellent also, and it drives my Digital Phase AP .7s very well. Great value for the money!!
Review: Marantz NR1200 stereo receiver - good stereo performance and HDMI
4 setup on which we have often heard our test fragments. Conclusion of Marantz NR1200 stereo receiver. Thanks to the Marantz NR1200, music lovers have a way of continuing to listen to their music in higher quality and yet to enjoy a better sound when watching TV
We have tried the Marantz NR-1200 stereo receiver! - Perfect Acoustic
Aside from a few minor “symptoms,” this audio device is an absolutely good buy. Due to its good price and many features, the NR-1200 can be a favourite of many.
New amp day! Added a Parasound Halo A21+ to the system.
After building my system over the last year, I started upgrading separate components until I got to the point where my receiver was the weak link. I've been using the Marantz NR1200 to power a pair of Deftech Demand D9 bookshelf speakers, and while that was fine for awhile, my local record and gear shop got a pair of essentially new Monitor Audio Silver 500's in, so I traded some vintage gear in for them. The 75wpc sounded... fine. I can't drive them super hard anyway, since I live in an apartment, but after diving into a tube preamp, my dream turntable, and great speakers, the receiver just sounded meh.
Marantz NR1711 Review - Large home theater from small receiver
As I thought, you get a bigger sound picture from the Marantz by connecting the speakers in 5.1 and using the ceiling speakers for Atmos, rather than connecting a pure 7.1 setup
