Heads for Ludwig Breakbeats

I recently bought the Ludwig Breakbeats and had fully intended on a complete re-skin when it arrived. I actually ended up settling with the stock Remo heads that it comes with. I’m just jamming for fun at the minute and I think they’re absolutely fine with a bit of moon gel. But like others have said, Evans are making great heads at the moment and that’s what I’ll likely be going for when I do decide to re-skin it.

Kits for young kids (4-5)

I’d look into some of the smaller bop kits, like the ludwig breakbeats questlove kit or the sonor safari ones.

What does everyone think of the Ludwig Breakbeat?

Ludwig makes great drums but not so much when it comes to Breakbeats. Go with the Sonor AQ2. Or a used Sonor bop kit. I got mine used (shells only) for 200 bucks on craigslist. https://imgur.com/kRcpy49
