I just got an LG MW3400 front load washer from Sears. Hook it up, plug it in. First load is ok for 16 min then begins to spew water out the front door all over the closet. Wife aggro is at 1000, not good.

LG or Whirlpool.

I replaced a 20 year old Maytag with a new LG washer/gas dryer set and I love it. Dropped my water bill and electric, since I switched from an electric dryer.

From the look of it, it looked great. Unfortunately I never got a chance to use it just because I purchased the wrong item and had to return it.

So I went with the LG WM4000HWA. It's been great so far. I honestly don't have a need for every feature, but the machine works well and gets things clean. I would recommend it if you're looking!

Because the LG has a tempered glass lid it's possible to watch it in action and I'd have to say it does an excellent job of turning clothes over, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the program for spinning and agitating the load. For a top loader it is quite efficient on water and the downward trend in my quarterly water bill seems to confirm that.
