Lenovo ThinkPad L14

The one thing that bothers me in the L14 though is that the screen is fairly bad. It's dark (250nits) and only has 60% sRGB coverage. I don't think I can get much better with thinkpads though, unless I had the money for like a T-series.

A used work station like a lenovo thinkpad from the p range or a HP zbook no more than a few years old and get the best spec you can find.

I would definitely look into business laptop. Used ones can be very affordable. dell latitude, lenovo thinkpad, hp elitebook...

I found only 2 comments about the vent placement blowing hot air on the screen and melting it, and something about always idling at 50°c. 1 comment on YouTube and 1 here on reddit. The other one in my radar is the L14. The AMD model isn't available in India (can't find it on Amazon and Lenovo's website always lists it as "out of stock".

My Lenovo Thinkpad from nearly a decade ago hasn't been working too well for me lately, sometimes struggling with video calls and buffering videos. Also, it's graphics card isn't good enough to run a few games I'd like to play (Civ 6, Ori & the Blind Forest, Journey). Not sure if that's specifically something I'll have to look for or if all modern computers will be up to the task. I'm in the US, looking for something <1K.
