Lenovo Legion 7

Lenovo legion Slim 7: Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3060 (100W tgp), 16gb Ram, 2tb Ssd, 1080p screen with 165hz refresh rate. I really wanted the regular legion 7 with the same specs but it wasn't available in my country so I got this instead and so far I'm liking it. I would be using the laptop for 90% 3d modeling/rendering and 10% gaming. I really love the form factor and weight and being a 5'3 girl who is also a student, my back really appreciates this.

Just sold my MacBook and I want to get a laptop for casual gaming, web browsing, photo editing. Out of my research the 2 laptops I was looking at came to Lenovo Legion 7/7i or G15. Legion seems way nicer for build quality and premium feel but also is bulky and heavier. G15 is lighter and thinner but the plastic build kind of turns me off.

Lenovo Legion 7/7i. MSI GE 76 Raider (Bulky but it tops the benchmarks). All of these have 165W 3080 & it performs great. It can run any modern game at high settings @ both 1080p/1440p, and even some on 4k with more than enough framerates for comfortable gaming.

Lenovo Legion 7 is the best if your budget is under 2000 dollars, if you can't get one then go for Legion 5 Pro.

The Clevo is the definition of desktop replacement, so if you need something more mobile I would choose one of the others and you won’t see a huge drop in gaming performance. IF the Lenovo Legion 7 has the same TDP as rumored (150 + 15W, same as Clevo), it will actually rival the Clevo in performance in a much smaller, lighter, and cooler package.

Then the prices came out and the lowest one was $2500 and I got 1 click away from buying. But then I was like, "Why spend $2500 on a system that can't play games when I can get a laptop with a slightly smaller battery and worse screen that can do literally everything I want and still spend less?". So despite the fact I have a 3080, 5900x desktop system at home, I just bought a Lenovo Legion 7. I wish I had the screen, battery, keyboard, and trackpad of the MBP, but for less money, I've got a system that doesn't look bad at school doing homework/taking notes and can also play CoD, New World, etc, when I'm at a cafe taking a break from studying.
