 So really nice as I said we're going to be testing these things in Big Sur at the end of this week and we're going to do a trip report at the end and also get some cool video footage while we're out in the backcountry. So let's go to that now. Alright so I'm hiking downhill right now using my lucky ultralight legacy hiking poles trekking poles and for those of you who have never used trekking poles before and you're backpacking or hiking highly recommend it. You have so much more stability on the trail and it's so much more comfortable especially in the uphills and the downhills you can really minimize the shock that your knees and your joints take so highly recommend these poles they are right here actually have the other one strapped to this camera so that's why you don't see the other one but still nonetheless great day great hiking Big Sur trailer mountain dot com

 Alright so I'm hiking downhill right now using my lucky ultralight legacy hiking poles trekking poles and for those of you who have never used trekking poles before and you're backpacking or hiking highly recommend it. Alright so you can see the difference here in length men's pole which is this one I'm putting these up side by side here the men's pole is about three inches longer but pretty much identical other than that and color same speed lock system different colors on the speed lock system but this is a hundred dollar pole and it comes in two it's a hundred dollar pair.  So same heat treated aluminum shafts with a nice smooth buttery finish on the outside very very nice and very durable it's really going to take a beating and last a long time so Lucky definitely makes high quality stuff. As I said same grip same air gun grip so grips right there put your hand through the middle grip on and there you go you have a really secure handhold for your hiking pole while you're hiking.  And as I said, they're not the lightest but I will put the weight down here after I get them on my scale. I just got these so I wanna do a quick review on them real quick and then I'm gonna do a follow up review as we're using them in Big Sur.  The features are stripped down to be a little easier on the wallet, but they are made with the attention to detail, durability and high quality we expect from LEKI. If you are a hiker or backpacker looking for your first pair of anti shock trekking poles, these would be a great option. Let's check them out. The three shaft sections are strong, but light weight

 The tip is incredibly durable and gives reliable traction on any surface. This portion of the tip has a bit of flex. That is why it is called a carbide flex tip. So if it gets jammed in between two rocks it will deflect up to 30 degrees and save the lower shaft sections from breakage
