 Boy they hold their position really well I'll. Tell you what get this one out and it takes a fair amount of pressure to get it to push back over, not like homeboy. You ready for this piece-of-junk, not like this. I'Ve shown you this before

 I'Ll tell you what um, since it's a Leatherman, it's got that 25 year warranty you've got nothing to worry about regarding quality, not only that craftsmanship is top-notch for what it is. It doesn't lock now these tools don't lock in place, but for a non locking tool. Boy they hold their position really well I'll. Tell you what get this one out and it takes a fair amount of pressure to get it to push back over, not like homeboy

 They call this the comfort grip handle and what I say that this is comfortable. I think it's probably going to be more comfortable than it would be without it. If you were to pull those out somehow and get this tool to work even with it gone. I bet that would be very uncomfortable because it's stainless steel digging into your hand, I think, for the price - it's probably comfortable enough, but I think they could have done a better job

 It'S good one inside we've got the Leatherman kick. I got this sometime ago actually came as a 2-pack, a Leatherman kick and we have it on Pocket in a second pretty sure I do almost always do there. It is lemon micro. This game is a 2-pack, got them for a great deal, and you may still be able to find that back out there someplace

Leatherman Kick: Entry Level Quality

 They are of rather plain design.  If you can pick it up for a decent price, it's a solid tool. It's design belies a nicely constructed and well balanced feel and the implements are of decent quality (though obviously not the steel used in their higher end models). If you use your pliers a lot, I strongly suggest another model with rounded steel edges like the New Wave or Charges

 Because it lacks some utility, and the handles are pretty much a mess, I'm rounding it down to 3 stars on Amazon (no halves). I'm putting these in my vehicles as emergency gear - they won't be Every Day Carry items for me.  The cheap and sharp platic inserts are the deal breaker. If they fixed those, I would have rounded up to a 4 for sure based on your bang for the buck

 Would have been better served to opt for the screw driver bit system they use on the higher end models and substitute a scissors and maybe an awl or small saw instead, of course, it's an inexpensive tool, but I'm not sure how this would be any more expensive to build in this way.  4) Pretty heavy for what you get - doesn't weight much less than my New Wave.  The Ugly:  They look like a cheap Chinese knockoff. To some degree the handle digging into your palm reinforces this view

Solid, useful, and cheap, but needs better handles.

 This was kind of the entry level to that kick fused blast line, so it was really cheap. It was like 25 dollars or something like that. If I, if memory serves so it was not expensive to get your hands on so you could really get into a quality multi-tool that really worked pretty well for very little money, but times have changed, and now we expect a lot more out of our multi tools, But nevertheless this is the Leatherman kick. I appreciate you watching and I'll see you in the next one

 If you had to put much force on them now wha, these are not the most ergonomic still, as I tell inserts, did, make a substantial difference in how you were able to grip onto these multi tools. Now, let's the knife blade was pretty much the same and we'll look at. Let me just fan out the tools on this side here, we'll just look at both sides. So let me swing these open, the one tool that I disagreed with and what I really did not like about what they did with the with the kick was the fact that they took the all wow

 These implements do not have a locking feature, but rather they have a pretty robust slip joint, so they don't lock in, but they do maintain a very nice slip joint and so it's not as if they would close up that. That hard are that easily on you. So the first was a two and a quarter-inch 428 scene knife blade, which was a decent length. I actually like my blades to be just a little bit longer and I think they probably could have got away with getting about another quarter inch in here

 So the weight on this one was 5.3 6 ounces, which was pretty lightweight or about 151 grams. It was a four-inch frame size, so a 4 inches in overall length or about 101 millimeters. It was about an inch and a quarter wide at its widest point here, and that translates to about 32 millimeters, and the great thing about this, particularly, is how thin it is

 Now you do have polymer inserts on here in the handle there and I think maybe some people are making an issue out of that, I have no issue with that at all. Helps keep it a little lighter weight and it makes it comfortable in your hand to grip on there. If you had sharp metal edges on there that'd be really bad, it wouldn't make it comfortable to use at all. This polymer is nice, it has little finger grooves but they're not too pronounced so if your fingers don't fit to those, it's not an issue at all

 And I love these pliers, they're well built, they're strong but yet they still come to a fairly fine point so they're still precise. You have your wire cutters and your hard wire cutters. Now one thing I wish this had is removable or replaceable cutters, kind of like the Super Tool 300 or some Gerber offerings. This does not have that, oh well, that just means be careful, don't booger up those cutters because you're kind of out of luck

 So maybe Leatherman needs to do a little work on their black coating. So it'll definitely do the job, make it non-reflective, but I don't know. It sounds like they should maybe do a little better job with their quality control on their black. But I have no issues with the satin finished one at all

The leatherman blast is one of the best multi-tools on the market. It is a good mixture of tools in a very traditional form. You don't get a lot of cool new features, but you do get a quality reliable tool. I highly recommend this tool to anyone that wants a great high value tool!

8 months on: It looks like the main blade has small spots, I certainly hope its not rust forming! I had a look at the manufacturers website and they state it has a stainless steel body and stainless steel Handles, what about the blade and tools? The product description on the amazon page states "All of the tools available in the Kick are made from 100-percent stainless steel". I'm not sure, the blade has a matt grey finish which doesn't look like stainless steel to me..

Does the job, but can't match a Victorinox for finish...

 Uh steel is still very shiny. I'M not sure exactly how old this model is, but it seems to be in good shape. You do have your hard wire notch down here soft wire right here, and i don't think those no there's nothing in here for like crimping or anything like that. These jaws appear to be in good shape

 So let's go to the other side, so we have a knife and just going to look around the camera for a sec. So i don't cut my hands here. We have a knife blade. It does slip up as well

 I have knives and fountain pens believe it or not so everyday kind of luxury goods are sort of the thing i do around here. Oh yeah, we got. We got tons of stuff around right now so yeah.  This is a leatherman designed, can opener slash wire stripper, i believe, yeah they. These tools don't lock up, but they are pretty stiff in their open position. So it's technically a slip joint, but yeah! You can see it's it's pretty firm that that thing's not going anywhere yeah can opener typical leatherman design kind of a smaller wire stripper on here, but i think, would serve pretty well. That'S a pretty steep uh bevel on there for getting work done
