Leatherman Crunch

Maybe try a Leatherman Crunch. The pliers are actually vice grips. Deploying the knife or other tools isn't the smoothest, but it's a neat tool.

The leatherman crunch is a great set of locking pliers, fun and really useful in a pinch. As far as the knipex Cobra, I use them almost every day and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The rest of the tools on the Crunch are pretty bad. The file and serrated blade are not super useful. The screw drivers are fine. A pseudo-hidden feature is that you can completely remove the plier adjustment bolt and there is a 1/4" bit holder (NOT the LM flat bit holder, although they are compatible) on the end of the tool.

Leatherman quality and design make this a sturdy and very handy tool to have on your person. The locking pliers are what sold me since I find them very useful in so many different situations. Try and find a Leatherman Crunch. They recently were discontinued but can still be found I think. It was the last multitool on the market with locking pliers. It also had a bit driver, pry tool and wire cutters.

Damn is it nice to have a nice little chunk of metal no matter what. Works well for prying, slicing boxes open when a knife isn’t on hand, scratching lotto tickets, etc. Just a nice little bit to have. Last up is my Leatherman Crunch.
