Leatherman Charge+ G10

I don’t want to bash leatherman at all but I am really disappointed by the quality of the tool, especially comparing it to Victorinox tools (even if the spirit costs about 50$ more). I will stay with my Swisstool and sadly need to carry it on my belt - really was looking forward using the pocketclip of the bond.

Back when my wife and I were dating, I bought her this really nice Leatherman Charge TTi. She clearly never used it. When I was going through our storage unit recently, I found it amongst her belongings in the boxes. So, I’m going to use it from now on since she never did.

I upgraded from a Gerber Suspension NXT to a Leatherman Charge+ TTI in February. It was life changing. But now, I feel like my S30V blade isn't as sharp as the ones I see here. I have used cheap sharpeners trying to fix that and probably ruined my current blade, but have now realized you need a pretty good sharpener to handle S30V steel.

The Leatherman Surge kit checks a lot of boxes, except that it has too much. It relies on a separate bit swapping system that isn’t connected to the tool itself, which means I’ll probably lose the parts that I use the most. Replacements are proprietary. It’s too big to EDC, but not big enough to get a lot more use out of the pliers and such.
