Great Fan/Heater - Major Flaws

 This is where the remote with the digital display comes in handy. - There's also an obnoxiously loud beep every time you change the setting, on/off, etc. They should really come out with a quiet one. The beeps seem unnecessary especially when you can feel/see the function on the remote - The fan is wobbly but if you don't accidentally bump into it's fine  Pros - Sleek & Modern design (love the black and white design!) - The remote is cool and modern and shows the settings on the remote so you don't have to look at the fan

 —- In all, I probably wouldn’t have bought this dual fan because the cons are true cons for me. I would buy a space heater from this brand, but will be looking elsewhere for a true oscillating cooling fan.

We have a ten year old Lasko 2511 tower fan that we decided to upgrade to this all-in-one fan and space heater. We plan to use it in our living room year-round for heating and cooling that space while we're in it. We've been using it for the past 5 days.  PRO: - Looks nice

Decent multifunction tower with flaws

I own the Lasko 2511 36″ Tower Fan with Remote Control and absolutely love it, that's why I decided to splurge on this model with the heater included. Most of the things that I love in the 2511 model are not present in this model. This model does a nice job of incorporating the heater and the fan in an all-in-one solution, however there are a few drawbacks that led me to not enjoy it as much as its predecessor. Firstly, the display is entirely too bright to keep in our bedroom at night

 So far has not failed but now it also reads the room temperature incorrectly by as much as 10 degrees higher when set to eco mode and idle. Once it starts up again in heat mode the temperature reading is within 3 degrees of actual room temperature, but this means we cannot depend on using the eco with thermostat mode. We turn on and off the heat as needed.  Too bulky to seek a warranty resolution

For heat or as use as a fan, this unit performs (but see negatives below). Because we went solar and last year had excess capacity, this fall we decided to reduce the house thermostat for the gas powered furnace and use space heaters in selected rooms. The cost of gas in California is high, so this was a good move and has saved us the cost of this unit and more.  However, after 3 months of daily and somewhat heavy use this Lasko FH500 has developed an annoying hum, and when on the rotation setting a grating sound at each end of the rotation cycle

Good heat and fan, but noisy

 When this fan hasn't been running for a while, the F1 slow speed is very slow and quite quiet. But after a few minutes running, the F1 speed gets faster and there's obvious fan and motor noise. There's a rapid soft ticking component to the sound that's particularly annoying. I find this fan's F1 noise to be distracting and not at all in the same league as my old Dyson fan
