 I use tower fans in my air conditioned home to circulate the cool air and help cut down on electricity bill. I have 2 Lasko tower fans that blow 3 times greater. Yes they are louder but the purpose of a fan in West Texas where our temps have been 107 all week, is to have strong air flow to better circulate air.  If it's noise you're concerned about, this will definitely suit you, but if you want an actual, discernible breeze, you will be disappointed.

This fan is way less powerful than one would think for a 36 inch high tower fan. It is standing about a yard away from me, on high, and I can just barely feel it. It's nice and quiet, which I appreciate, but honestly, my little 6-inch desk fan had more of a kick. Not a happy purchase

This fan is fine for airflow, but it’s no longer quiet. It sounds like a helicopter. It was quiet for the first week and now it’s so loud while oscillating. We use it at night to move air while sleeping and it’s so loud that it wakes me up thinking helicopters are hovering over our house

I purchased this fan because my wife complained that the fan we were using at night to help us sleep on hot summer nights was so loud it kept her from sleeping. This tower fan proved to be much quieter, and for that she likes this fan. I find, however, that it doesn't put out nearly the amount of air that the old fan does. So it's a Jack Sprat and his wife situation

Quiet, But . . .

At the brink of the fan's oscillation was a faint 'click click click' sound. Don't get me wrong -- it wasn't very loud at all. But when trying to fall asleep it was just enough to anticipate that noise and fixate. The base assembled easily but was very wobbly and made me nervous

This fan is great, I don't have much to complain about. The remote is easy to use, and it is so quiet I often don't know it's on. If I were to critique anything, it would be that I'd like a stronger "high" setting, but otherwise it does a super job. I recommend it
