The Istanbul Agop Xist are orders of magnitude better than PST7s and Zildjian S series. Amazing value. I would say they're easily on par with Zildjian A and Sabian AAs.

Buying shell pack, need recommendations for accessories

Dw sells a 6000 series hardware pack that's lightweight, sturdy, and should get the job done. Plus it comes with a bag for portability.

As for midrange cymbals... Get an Istanbul Agop Xist cymbal packs & never look back.

What hi hats should I get?

Dream Bliss, Istanbul Xist, used Z New Beats, or check out like Mehteran Cymbals (basically spin-off of Meinl).

Had the most fun today since i got Back into drumming 3 weeks ago. Progress can be so satisfying (also being able to afford anything other than a Basix Drumset with Stagg cymbals haha)

Staggs are good, I used SHs for quite a while. If you want good affordable cymbals you can also check out Istanbul Xist's.

What would you add to this kit? I wanna get some more cymbals or some accessories, but I am clueless on what’s out there.

istanbul xist have been my go to cymbals recently. High quality brass, excellent tone for less money.

Question bout cymbals

Istanbul Mehmet = Meh.

Istanbul Xist = eXcellent

Both are the "budget" models, yet the Xists outperform any low to mid range Zildjian's by a landslide.

K is king. With the exception of my "A" New Beats and "A" Sweet Ride.

What’s are some good sounding reasonably priced hi-hats?

I'd look for some Z New Beats, Dream Bliss hihats, or Istanbul Xist hihats for the best bang for the buck. You'll be able to get any of them with that budget.

Is my cymbals trash? I don’t like much the sound of them, i feel that it may because im a very beginner but what i really wanted was a good hihat sound, is that paiste set good? What could be really good cymbals for the cost? (They are a little black like that bc of moisture i guess idk)

I started with a set of istanbul xist cymbals. They sound awesome and are quite inexpensive. You could then later look into upgrading to better cymbals when your ear is more trained and you have an idea what sound you like.

Best Cymbals For Rock?

I think that Istanbul Agop's Xist series is super overlooked. They're quite affordable and sound great!
