IKEA Poang

Just as a tip/recommendation regarding the Ikea Poang (as I'm currently holding a sleeping baby sitting on the same chair), get a comfy cushion, maybe two for your arms to rest on when you're holding or feeding your baby. The arm rests are just a little too far apart and low for an averaged size person to comfortably support the weight of the baby. A little cushion will help!

I had to saw down the slats to make them fit. You need a handyman or your dad to get this finished. Also, one hole was too small and i needed to drill a bigger hole just to make it fit. Ikea-ish. It's study and okay comfort, the padding is cheap and will need to be replaced soon.

Another vote for the Ikea Poang. Make sure to get the ottoman too. The chair is just about the right height and the arm rests are also at a good height where many are too low if you have a longer torso. They are also long and gives you entire forearm support.

My neighbours got themselves two IKEA Poang armchairs plus the foot stools. They are super comfortable and very well made with washable and replaceable covers. And not too expensive.

If you go for the Poang, the leather cushions are way more stiff and less comfortable. They also push your head forward even more. I would pick a fabric option with a detachable headrest like the Vislanda. For critical music listening, low back chairs are always going to be a better option.
