Helinox Chair Zero Review
The Helinox Chair Zero is a lightweight portable backpacking chair that weighs 17 oz and packs up surprisingly small. Before I bought it, I never thought I’d use it on a backpacking trip because I didn’t want to carry the extra weight. But it’s nice to bring on trips that I know have awesome viewpoi...

Surprisingly useful gear?
Helinox chair zero. As a middle age hiker leaving it on top of my pack and popping it out even for 5 minute breaks + camp and mornings is game changing for endurance and recovery.

Why don't you have a seat over there?
I was told by the folks at Moosejaw that if I wrote a review of my new Helinox Zero Camp Chair that everyone would really, really like me. Since everyone already really, really likes me, I’m not sure what I stand to gain by doing this other than power and glory---both of which would coincide nicely ...

I'm 6'4" incidentally and can sit quite comfortably for long periods
I was going to take off a star for the price but considering I marvel at the thing every time my 200 lb arse plops down in it I decided to give it a glowing review instead. I never thought I'd be hiking 13,000 feet trails with a chair in tow. That extra 19 ounces is so worth it at the end of the day...

What gear purchase from 2021 are you most stoked on?
My Helinox Chair Zero is a guilty pleasure. Sure it's half a kilo, but it's so nice to sit somewhere comfortable off the ground after a long hike!
Lightweight, Sturdy, & Comfortable
I was never one to consider any "luxury" items while backpacking but now, at age 58, I am making an exception for this 1lb chair. It is nice to sit in this chair after a long day on the trail rather sitting on the ground. I replaced the tips on the legs with tips that have more surface area to preve...

Best for motorcycle camping. Packs
Best for motorcycle camping. Packs small and extremely lightweight. Okay, it sits low to the ground but that makes it easy to roll out of at the end of the night : )

Zero vs One
As per the picture, I own the Chair One and recently got the Chair Zero for $90. It is amazingly light, seems decently sturdy for the weight, and will definitely be in my backpack because of those features. Sitting in the Zero for a few minutes and switching to the One makes the One feel like a room...
