So to conclude, if you own one of these Aeron chairs and you are looking to get a headrest to maximize the comfort and ergonomics of the chair, I would not recommend getting the Atlas headrest suspension version. Instead you should go for the two models that I've mentioned previously, either the cushion model or the vegan leather model because you are likely not gonna face the same issues as I've had with the suspension version. I am actually planning to get the cushion version to replace this current one

 It's not going to be the perfect headrest, it has a little bit of a bulky design from the back and the knob adjustments aren't ideal, but I will say that this is probably the highest quality headrest that I've seen on any chair that I've used. The components, the mesh, very high-end, super adjustable, it was very comfortable to use. To be honest, if I used an Aeron as my everyday driver chair, I would probably want the Atlas headrest on it. I really enjoyed using it while I was testing the chair and testing the headrest and I just found it to be a very nice experience

 So ultimately we need to answer that question, is the Atlas suspension worth it at a price of $179.95? Now I think that this is going to go both ways, depending on what you're looking for and what your budget is. The final thing I really like about the Atlas suspension is that they do give you 30 days to try the headrest

 And this just goes back to the quality of the materials and the large adjustment range. The mesh is soft, flexible, but very supportive. It's not coarse, so it's not uncomfortable to use. The headrest itself is large, spacious, allows you to use it in multiple different positions

I have watched a lengthy YouTube review that recommended this product as compared to the Aeron H3 and Aeron H4 Headrests. In my personal opinion, the Atlas Headrest "Designed for the Herman Miller" does not look like it was designed for the Remastered Aeron Chair. I actually brought the Atlas Headrest and the Aeron H4 Headrest to a Herman Miller Dealer in town. The ladies in the dealership all voted unanimously that the H4 is the obvious choice

 Easy to manipulate. Only problem is that its maximum height is an inch or two too short for a Herman Miller "A" chair. I'm 5 foot 10 and if I sit up straight in the chair and lean back, the head/neckrest is too short at its highest setting.   3. As others haves stated, the padding is either too thin or too hard or both. This, combined with the extreme curved shape of the headrest causes it to get very uncomfortable after a 15 or 20 minutes and again, causes me to attempt to constantly adjust it in a attempt to find a more comfortable position. I would suggest that they increase the thickness and quality of the padding combined with reducing the curve and I believe that this could eliminate this complaint for future customers

 In fact, it was so tight that needed to loosen it just the slightest amount so I can adjust it. Since this was my biggest complaint and the primary reason that I had changed my review to 2 stars and because of the proactive, outstanding customer service, I am much more satisfied with the headrest.  I'm also quite impressed with the fact that they have continued to contact me wanting to understand how I use the headrest so that they can make additional improvements around comfort and ergonomics. These guys really stand behind their product and the only other company that rivals their level of customer service, at least in my experience, has been Canon in their servicing of my professional body camera and lenses

 If you know anything about Canon's customer service around their professional products, you know that's a huge accomplishment.  Updated review after 1 year: After having this headrest on my Aeron chair for a little over a year now, I must lower the rating from 5 stars to 2 stars for the following reasons:  1. The part of the bracket that allows the headrest to move forward and backward won't stay tight enough to hold the headrest in place if you lean back against it at all, which somewhat diminishes the usefulness of this headrest. If the headrest won't stay in the position that supports your neck and head, then it's just not doing the job for which it was intended

 The curve of the headrest is too extreme. When I'm sitting with the Aeron chair at full forward tilt at the keyboard, editing several hundred photographs or any other work that I must do, I like to move the bottom of the headrest down to the top of my shoulders/base of my neck with the top of the headrest right under the back of my head. Because of the extreme curve, the edges dig into the tops of my shoulders and it becomes uncomfortable to use for any length of time, so I'm constantly adjusting and readjusting and the headrest becomes ineffective. I would suggest reduce the curve to provide a more comfortable experience

 Surely, it's a tight squeeze, but there's enough room to remove the lumbar pad. (I often reverse the lumbar pad to the thicker side when in the reclined position for an extensive period of time). Note: When the lumbar pad is at it's highest position, you can hear it rubbing up against the bottom of the headrest railing. Not a big deal

 After a day, trying to force myself to adjust, I'm beginning to feel discomfort/strain in my neck and at the base of my skull. I don't know a ton about ergonomics, but, if I had to guess, i'd say the headrest doesn't extend forward far enough? Maybe if it gave up to another inch or so? Or maybe my version of sitting "completely upright" differs from that of the designers' and experts in ergonomics.  Note: In my continued quest for an ergonomic home office, I have a Aeron "PostureFit" kit on the way, as well as a rocking footrest. Maybe the addition of the two will alter (or correct) my upright posture enough to make the length the headrest extends, a non-factor

I really tried to like this headrest. In what part of the manufacturing process did you use all of that money? I'm sure it wasn't the materials used on the cushioning part of the headrest (Not mesh), so where?  Buy if you want a headrest, because there aren't many options out there, but be prepared to go to the hardware store to get some additional parts to make the thing hold its position
