Dead pixel

This is not the best product on the market but I got it at a significant discount. It came with a single dead pixel. I decided I could live with that because the process of dealing with gigabyte customer service is legendarily bad.

M27Q vs G27Q which is better?

I considered the G27Q, but I ultimately went with the M32Q (370 USD on sale). Because it's very similar performance and feature wise to the M27Q, but has a RGB subpixel layout. 32 inch, 1440p isn't for everyone though, I guess. Certainly not if you don't have the space for it.

Just buy a curved version

Don't live with the regret of buying the flat screen version. it's a great durable monitor, it's fallen off my desk because of unrelated events. The curved monitor of this size would be great and you should get that version.

Gigabyte M32Q USB hub not recognized by Windows 10 on boot until I reconnect it.

Mine dock works exactly as yours, need to hit the kvm button to let the system "scan" and find "oh there is a hub connected". My graphics card is also from gigabyte so well everything should be compatible. And my M32Q also showed as "Generic PnP Monitor". If I remember correctly it is fine and the same showed when using my other aoc and acer monitors.
