Overall, I'm happy with my folding cleaver and keep it with me all the time. I recommend it.

 Now for the honest part. It isn't worth 100 dollars. The detent is way to strong, the grind is uneven as you can see from the picture, and the grip on the blade to flip it out is too aggressive (I belive a flaw in manufacturing due to the "gnarlyness" of it in picture). It hurts to open

 I'll still keep the knife, I just didn't think I was going to have to grind my own blade and adjust my own detent, and smooth out my flipper for 100 dollars. This will be my last Gerber, due to the fact that this is suppose to be their quality line. When a company tells me this is top teir stuff(with a price tag) and it isn't, I don't trust them anymore. Go buy a Kershaw or Spiderco

 The blade style is not utilitarian, it has limited function and doesn't hold an edge at all after minimal use. I cannot see how this could be a "go to" knife. Regardless, I kept it hoping to see if I missed something in translation. There are way too many better flip folders for less or equal money

I like the looks and feels of this knife even with being a bit stiff to open and is overall a nice pocket knife. It also come decently sharp. That being said I have one issue and it's the fact that the blade was sent to me extremely uneven. Decent knife but one issue with how uneven the blade on my knife is.

.. Such a let down, first off the texture of the scales feels like 1000 grit sand paper, blade was dull and got caught up doing the paper test. The logos were inconsistent and poorly done, and the blade was not centered

Razor sharp but a bit loose

It's a nice knife but priced about twice what it's worth. I have quite a large collection of knives and I rate this knife as only fair quality. It may be made in America but it is also why American made is not what it used to be. I would not recommend it to anyone!!
