I'm hoping this smooths out over time. Given that I absolutely love everything else about the Fastball, I'm gonna keep fiddling with it to see if it starts to wear down to a more reasonable level. If not, I may open it up and try to file down the nub, but that's risky. But so far my search for the perfect knife continues

So it has flex, and I have a heavy suspicion that it will start bending and probably break with a side load or twisting force to the blade. The spring assist is pretty weak. Now for the honest part. It isn't worth 100 dollars. The detent is way to strong, the grind is uneven as you can see from the picture, and the grip on the blade to flip it out is too aggressive (I belive a flaw in manufacturing due to the "gnarlyness" of it in picture). It hurts to open

Not very sharp out of the box. Holding the knife doesn't feel best in hand. The price is low, so if your looking for something cheap it is worth a buy, but I personally would not buy again if I had it to do over.

Overall, I'm happy with my folding cleaver and keep it with me all the time. I recommend it.

The only thing wrong with this knife is the handle length. I have small hands and this knife handle is way, way too small even for my hands. Nice Speed Safe Action, came very sharp and great lock up. Kershaw would hit a home run if they made the length of the handle longer
