Garmin Hrm-run

This is vital. So I'm giving it a not only one, but two thumbs up on this Hrm uh, run garment by Garmin?

Here is mine. I emailed 2 days ago about an issue with my HRM-RUN. It is starting to come apart around the sensors. My device is 2 months out of warranty.

I have owned two Garmin HRM Tri and they both had issues where the plastic around the top right screw would crack and sweat and water would come into the housing causing problems. Yesterday I called customer service and they have said that the HRM Tri has been discontinued as of Tuesday (6/22) and that they would happily replace my HRM Tri with a HRM Pro at no cost!

I've owned two of these external straps to pair with my Fenix 5 so while my review is critical it's also noteworthy that I keep coming back. When it works, it works well. I am very satisfied with the Italian Garmin service. My HRM-Run chest strap failed a few days before the 2 year warranty expiration. In a few minutes I activated the replacement request, a very simple procedure with shipping costs paid by Garmin.

Still seems to loose contact with the Garmin watch. Followed directions to pre-wet the elastic band that goes around your chest. Fails to give consistent BPM data to watch during entire run of about 60min.

The strap actually, and its pretty cheap comparitively. I am using the HRM-Run with my Fenix 6- the HR data is more accurate and you get all the neat run metrics too.
