Epiphone Viola Bass

I really love the Epiphone Viola Bass and I have no clue why. I hate sunbursts, I hate the bridge, and I play very noisy metal. But something about how it sounds is just so good. Like not even the better looking (and probably better built) basses sound like it.

Get an epiphone viola bass! It can do something similar to the hofner it looks similar to, plus much more! And it's a short scale. I love mine so much I'm thinking of getting a second one and yanking the frets out. Also they are cheap.

If you’d like to go the violin bass route, I highly recommend an Epiphone viola over an ignition series Hofner. I believe it’s right around your budget as well. Very very light but does have a bit of neck dive, not unbearable though. I think tone wise it’s very compatible with the style you want to play if you throw some flats on there.
