Should they bring it back? | Epiphone Embassy Pro Bass [Review/Demo]

So this bass handles distortion phenomenally well. That neck pickup sounds amazing, so thick and one of my favourite basses that I own for distortion.

Basses that are equivalent sound-wise to a Thunderbird, but without the neck dive?

Epiphone embassy - exact same pickups as the Vintage Pro, but with more of a P bass style ergonomics, and a unique look.

They deliver *the* sound of the 1960's. Don't be mistaken by Jack Bruce, he also played an EB3, but he played rather agressively and with treble-heavy amplifiers, which gave a rather distorted and bright sound. The actual sound of an EB-3 (or EB0 or EB2 for that matter) is very [round and If I were you, and it's your first bass, I'd go for the new Epiphone Embassy bass.

Thunderbird Ergonomics for people with small bodies

I also have an Epiphone Embassy, all the tbird sound without the ergonomic issues. Might be worth a look.

What do you think is the most overrated/underrated bass model?

I also think the Epiphone Embassy is underrated. P bass-feeling neck, Tbird pickups, and super light. Not sexy to look at maybe, depends on your tastes, but they cover a lot of ground.

Alternatives to the Gibson Thunderbird?

Epiphone Embassy Pro. Same pickups, different body, balance pot instead of two volumes (which I prefer) and is around $4000 USD I think

If you can find one, the Epiphone Embassy Vintage Pro is my favorite of the under appreciated and affordable basses out there,

Older bass player looking for lighter bass

Epiphone Embassy - super light, and balls as big as watermelons. Does a good P bass tone (I normally play a P bass).

Also - I second the comments about getting a wider strap for that P bass, 2.5-3”, unless you’re already there.
