I picked these up local for $1k and they sound amazing. I've been drooling over these speakers for a year and I had set a side enough money to aquire a pair. There's so much clarity and clear subtlety that I've found myself turning down the volume sometimes, and the bass has much more presence and impact than the elac's that im realizing just how bloated they were in the low-end.

Which Pre-amp is better? i have a Technics SL-Q200

Phono Box DC. Pass on the Project with the logo on top. Pass on Fluance PA10 since the Art DJ Pre II is supposedly just as good for lower cost or you can get a better iFi Zen Air Phono or U-Turn Pluto 2 or Emotiva XPS-1 for the same cost as the Fluance. What is or will be your speaker amplification and speakers?.

Works great with my Shure M91ed moving magnet cartridge. I will try it soon with a moving coil cartridge. I like that the loading for MC cartridges is adjustable. The only negatives are the RCA connections are on opposite sides and they are a little smaller than normal so cables tend to fit loosely....

Sounds great to my ears
