Trackball was approved an hour later. I bought the Elecom Huge off a redditor, who did a bearing swap. Saved me the hassle of doing it myself. I have been thinking about selling some of these off.

I've tried way too hard to make this work out

I've actually came back over and over again and rerated this mouse. At first I couldn't get used to the shape, my thumb felt way too far away at the click button, the trackball felt way too tall and hurt my fingers, and the palm rest was kind of misplaced, the scroll wheel felt (and still feels) way...

Decent portable trackball?

Although Elecom makes some great ergo trackball designs, their QC seems a bit lacking and the one you receive after ordering may or may not need bearing replacement or to be sent back altogether. I use the Elecom Huge for my home office setup, but I needed to change the artificial ruby bearings to chrome steel bearings to make it usable. Good luck finding your optimal travel trackball.
