It sounds like the X-Mid 2p would be the perfect shelter for you if it's coming back in stock soon. It's easily big enough for 2 large adults, but doesn't need a parking lot to fit like the Ultamid 4. It's silpoly, so no sag like silnylon. It's also significantly lighter than the Ultamid 4, and can also be used fly-only if desired.

Way more headroom and footroom since the side angles are steeper. I've used my X-Mid 2p with me (6'4") and my 6'1" son. I disagree that it's so tight you'd only use it with a significant other. I used it with a co-worker (6'2") and sleeping head to foot helps a lot with that "close enough to kiss you" feeling you normally get when both people are facing the same direction.
