I think I would like them even more so in terms of build quality. But I also have to say this.

Hifiman Sundara, Denon AH-D5200, and DT 990 Pros (250 ohm). The Denon's are the best closed back cans I've ever heard. They have a remarkable sound stage and openness for closed cans. Bass response is phenomenal.

The Denon AH-D5200 benefits from the Yaxi TH610 Alcantara version... takes the edge off the treble and you gain better low end... still maintain the clarity, finesse, detail presentation, separation, and vocal forwardness that put it noticeably ahead of the Fostex TH-X00. And I would not have the Porta Pros without the Yaxi foam pads for them along with less clamping headband... makes a difference in overall clarity and bass tightness along with a bit more pronounced vocals, plus the massive increase in comfort. STAX SR-L300 Limited benefited from going to L700 pads (along with the L700 headband)... gave a bit more finesse and low end extension, and kept the expansive and lively presentation. For myself, Yaxi have become my pads of choice... they just seem to do what I like very consistently.

The Denon AH-D5200 is a reasonably comfortable headphone that does a great job of reproducing the full sound spectrum. I compared it to a Meze Audio Classic 99 that I bought at the same time, playing it through the headphone output of a Marantz SR5011 with no other amplification. It nicely reproduce...

I've tried a lot of headphones at this point and would call the bass "very good" overall. The mids sound good but aren't given particular focus in the mix, so if you are used to more forward mids like I am (the Denon AH-D5200 are my favorite headphones, they bring the upper mids right up to your head) you will strain a little to pick them out of the mix though I wouldn't go as far as to say they are buried.

These have like close to 60 hours on them . They are on a different level than the Denon AH-D600's from 2012. What I love about these is they have lots of soul....you can feel the emotion of the musician. They are so clear and transparent you can hear those off set talking or whatever in the backgro...
