I have a 1500 sq ft open concept basement and this dehumidifier has made the difference between comfortable,dry and musty and damp for a very reasonable price. I can understand how a direct to drain hose would make things easier but not essential.

Product is fine, shipping not so much. FedEx left at gate uncovered, no notice...not supposed to leave without being signed for according to my instruction. Will never purchase from this seller again due to shipping policy, FedEX is horrible!

I only use this during the summer for about 4 months the last 2 years. It is already low on freon, only the bottom half of the unit gets cold and quickly freezes up. I would not buy another Danby unit.
