Our first was a Keystone which worked great for 6 years, then started leaving water on the floor. Since it was not ranked as high we chose the Frigidaire.

it is too big of a pain to return, so we'll be trying to sell it locally. We were hoping this would help reduce the humidity in our master bed and bath, however when running it gets very warm, which results in our bedroom heating up significantly, which in Texas is not ideal. We were hoping to return it, but the seller doesn't make it very easy, especially since they didn't double box it when they shipped it, it was boxed simply in the manufacturer's box. Perhaps if you're in a more moderate climate and only using this in a basement or something it would be fine, but the heat it kicks off seems like it would be a pretty big negative for most common uses

In Feb 2021, I purchased this model after some careful research on the internet, knowing that our basement usually gets very humid in the three months of summer, and there is a range of performances among the models on the market. This model was great when it worked at the beginning, just as many positive reviews described. It then went to hibernation as fall came and the air became dry. I have a 1500 sq ft open concept basement and this dehumidifier has made the difference between comfortable,dry and musty and damp for a very reasonable price. I can understand how a direct to drain hose would make things easier but not essential.

We have been dealing with high humidity (South California foothills environment)…even with the A/C running pretty much constantly, we were in 60-65% humidity range and having to be at 65-68 degrees…without A/C on, humidity would jump to 70-77%….as soon as we got this dehumidifier delivered, we turned on, left it on overnight, and without A/C overnight we woke up to 45% humidity! Definitely a game changer…it is a bit noisy, maybe a bit more than central A/C, and I’m sure this will consume electricity $$$…but basically this allows us to not have to run A/C constantly so we think it’ll be at least neutral on cost if not overall cheaper. And we don’t have to have the house at 65-68 degrees! Recommend for sure. Not sure on longevity as I only just got this a couple days ago

The noise from the pump is very low but the fan is noisy. Even on low setting is still way too noisy for a bedroom. I usually leave it in the middle of the basement and gets the job done. I would recommend it, as it looks a quality product if you don't need to place it in a bedroom

Noise (on low fan): you won't notice in a busy house, but you'll hear it at night from 30 ft away through walls. When dewpoints are in the 70's my electric bill jumped 200 kWh over same time last year(one occupant in house). But, aah, the comfort. Towels, laundry and dishes dry quickly

Small straight forward unit to operate. And the water collector is easy to remove and dump and put back. We have had several units over the years and cycling out the WC could be problematic. This one is a breeze

I bought this in June, 2020, it stopped dehumidifying in October 2020. Apparently, all these dehumidifier last only one season. This is my third dehumidifier in a raw that lasted one season only.

I took it apart and found the coil was all rusty and had leaked the refrigerant. This was not a huge surprise, because it had been putting out nasty red brown water for some time. This Frigidaire unit is putting out clean clear water, but it's only been a few months. We have salt air here near the coast and it's hard on HVAC units and maybe dehumidifiers, so time will tell what kind of longevity we get from it
