I can deal with that, though. I just run it at night. The dehumidifier is in a basement apartment (my basement apartment) and I like a bit of noise at night. It's actually quite soothing! That is, until the bucket fills up

I have not used the hose/pump feature; I simply wait til the bucket fills up, then empty it. Quite annoying that it is supposed to turn off once the humidity level reaches the set point, but it does not. So it basically just runs all the time unless you manually turn it off, or unless the bucket filled up. Otherwise works fine

it is too big of a pain to return, so we'll be trying to sell it locally. We were hoping this would help reduce the humidity in our master bed and bath, however when running it gets very warm, which results in our bedroom heating up significantly, which in Texas is not ideal. We were hoping to return it, but the seller doesn't make it very easy, especially since they didn't double box it when they shipped it, it was boxed simply in the manufacturer's box. Perhaps if you're in a more moderate climate and only using this in a basement or something it would be fine, but the heat it kicks off seems like it would be a pretty big negative for most common uses

That pulls moisture out of the air, which collects in a bucket, which you have to empty on a regular basis. This unit has a pump, which allows you to pump it some short distance (~ 16 feet or so). The cooler cools, the pump pumps - what more could you ask for. Well, running a dehumidifier is a lot like plopping down a window AC in the middle of the room at running that (with or without the pump)

I have a 1500 sq ft open concept basement and this dehumidifier has made the difference between comfortable,dry and musty and damp for a very reasonable price. I can understand how a direct to drain hose would make things easier but not essential.

I did a lot of research before buying this unit. There are cheaper options, but you get what you pay for. I feel this was a good price for the features. Once I got it, I also saw that it is a workhorse

Small straight forward unit to operate. And the water collector is easy to remove and dump and put back. We have had several units over the years and cycling out the WC could be problematic. This one is a breeze

I have one simple advise for anyone considering this product: save yourself some money and trouble and please don't.

I bought this in June, 2020, it stopped dehumidifying in October 2020. Apparently, all these dehumidifier last only one season. This is my third dehumidifier in a raw that lasted one season only.

Metal will begin rusting in days in my shop. Since I got this unit, I have it set at 40% and I would say it probably runs 10 out of 24 hours. We’ll see how the longevity is over time. So far, super happy
