It's a great reel, compared to other reels
It's a great reel, compared to other reels, this feels smooth and has a ton of power behind it. Do a bit of research and you will find mostly praises for this reel. For around 100 dollars, it cannot be compared. It feels smooth, steady, and provides you with confidence that is required to handle big...
Good price for a solid reel
So far so good! Caught multiple Sailfish, wahoo, blackfin tuna and Mahi on these slick reels. Fast retrieve, solid construction and good looks for a Benjamin? I bought 8 for my charter boat and haven’t been disappointed yet. Update: I purchased 8 bg6500 and 4 bg4500 reels Nov 2016 and have absolutel...
Work of art
Daiwa bg 4000, I was looking for a inshore reel that could double duty as my cat rod for flatheads and blue cats. This reel fits everything I look for in a good spinning reel, it’s one of the smoothest spinning reels I’ve ever felt there is literally no resistance. Partly do to the reel is not seale...
Great reel for a awesome price feel great in the ...
The media could not be loaded. Great reel for a awesome price feel great in the hand I match it up with ugly stick gx 2 and some kast king braid .
One month into fishing and I think I’ve been using the wrong rod and reel.
I’m relatively new as well, but if you’re looking to downsize to something more balanced, I highly recommend the daiwa bg, but I’d go down to a 2500, and pair it with a medium rod. I use a 10-20lbs braid and a 8-10 lbs fluoro leader. I think it’s the perfect middle rod that’s light enough to throw your lure all day, and strong enough to handle just about anything your frozen bait might hook on to.
Great Value, lot of reel for the money.
Loaded with 30# braid and spent a week casting for stripers. Very happy, smooth action, bail is closed manually (one of the reasons I wanted it) so heavy baits do not snap the action closed and break you off. Better than my old black and gold and my 704's and 750SS's. Fast retrieve with a solid drag...
I can flat out say that this reel is much better than the Battle and loses nothing against the Stradic
I waited several months to put a review up for this reel. Right now I have a Daiwa BG, a Penn Battle II, Penn Fierce II, a few Shimano Siennas and some other odds and ends. I've also fished with some Stradics as well. I can flat out say that this reel is much better than the Battle and loses nothing...
Be mindful of the warranty period of one year.
The Diana BG3000 cast and retrieves like butter.......but.....after five or six outings it developed an annoying 'catch' at the point of going from the completed cast to the reel-in. To begin reeling in, one hast to crank it back then forward to begin reeling. A real pain in the butt. I bought this ...
Good and durable little reel.
This is an outstanding reel, it has a rubber gasket around the spool to make it easy to spool braid without any hassle or need for a monofilament backing. The handle just screws on, it seemed kinda shady to me but it hasn't loosened or threatened to come off yet so i'm pleased so far. The BG 3000 is...
