Good but BG better value
It’s a good reel but the BG is worth the upgrade as it’s not much more money and is so much better built.

Looking to gift a high end reel to trout fishing enthusiast
He does many reviews on light and ultra light gear. His pick for a reel under a $100 is a Daiwa Regal or Legalis.
Under Rated!
The color is amazing but that is not the only thing that matches up to this reel. The size is compact and 10 ball bearings, reel so smooth. Might have to buy one for my dad! Definitely best bang for your buck!

Best reel I have ever used!
Ive had this reel for about a year going on two now and it continues to be the smoothest, best reel I have ever owned. It has never given me a single problem and is I would say one, if not THE best reels on the market for the price. The value you get with this reel is next to none! 11/10 would recom...

Best Reel on the market
The Daiwa Exist LT is also a dream of a reel, and in some ways it is even more refined than the Stella, but I personally find Shimano's have the edge for durability. For a more sensible budget then it is between the Shimano Vanford (carbon body) or the Shimano Stradic FL (Aluminium body). I have a 12 year old Stradic which is still smooth, they really are impossible to beat for the money.

The Best $50 Spinning Reel? Daiwa Regal LT 1000D
Yeah, I think it looks super nice. Let's go ahead and put some line on it. I'm going to be spooling this guy up with 14 pound fire line to a six pound fluorocarbon coated leader

Excellent for the price
I've been out bass fishing three times with this reel. I loaded it first with 6lb mono and last trip out I changed to 10lb braid. Both lines laid evenly on the reel with no trouble. The drag is a bit inconsistent but the reel works very well. This is the cheapest reel I own and it is definitely not ...

Glad they were out of Pflueger Presidents
I have been a Pfleuger President user for over 10 years. I have numerous brands and types of spinning rods all paired up with Pfleuger reels. I purchased a new St Croix Avid rod and wanted another President to go with it. Bass Pro was out of Presidents at the time (along with just about every other ...

Surprised.
I purchased this reel to be a back up unit to my Daiwa BG2000. The Daiwa Regal LT3000D exceeded my expectation in every way and is just as enjoyable to use as the BG. They're both very smooth and feel solid but still different in some ways. The Regal LT is a little lighter but the drag system is mor...

Flimsy bail spring
I have two Regals and they are decent for the price, but the bail spring broke on both of them. Had to get replacements direct from Daiwa. Fortunately Daiwa sent them for free.
