 Hello guys and welcome to my channel. My name is Jesper Offersen and today we are going to

 look at a face cream slash sort of a body cream because you can use it on your body and you can

 use it on your face and that is actually what they are saying. And it is from the company

 CeraVe and it looks like this and that is a salicylic acid cream or what they call a

 smoothing cream. So this is supposed to take away dry rough and bumpy skin or make the skin

 not rough dry and bumpy. So what is there to say about this product? Well I would say there is

 there's rather a lot to say about it because it might be a little bit tough on the skin

 and the first thing that you notice when you are getting it out of the tube we could just do that

 is that it is a it's very thick so like it it needs a good push in order to get out of the tube

 and it is very um it is it is a thick cream no there's no doubt about that it is rather a thick

 cream and it contains a an ingredient that most people do not like in something that is supposed

 to do an awful lot for your skin and that is a dimethicone and that is a silicone and some

 people will say that what it actually does is that yes it does give the sort of a silky sort of a

 feel on the skin but also it might also have the effect that it is less likely that the active

 ingredients will actually sink in your to your skin when that ingredient is in the product and

 I would say as a hand cream it kind of like is a bit fat as a as a hand cream and it is not something

 that I would say that I immediately would grab and put on my face and therefore I have not tried it

 on my face and I have not tried it on my face for several reasons it does as a hand cream it does

 kind of like leave the hands relatively nice and as you can see it did actually sink in relatively

 quick it's not shiny it's kind of like a matte afterwards but it gives this sort of a sort of a

 thick coat on the skin and that is something I would not like to have on my face so what else

 are there in this product here because for this product I would say the dimethicone is a minor

 issue here but if you look at the front it actually says that it has urea in it and it says it has a

 10 percent urea and that is something that will moisturize your skin and it was actually it will

 sink deep into the to the skin and in the moisture the skin that way by grabbing a hold of water

 but urea is a natural thing in your skin anyway but 10 percent that is maybe a little high

 and actually is it so that if you go above 10 percent this will actually act as an

 exfoliant as well and not just a something that will hydrate your skin there is some issues with

 urea and one of them is that it could be transformed into ammonia on your skin from some of the natural

 bacteria that are on your skin I wouldn't say that it is likely it's going to happen to a degree

 that it is problematic I'm just saying it is something that could happen I would say it is

 not likely it's going to happen but in theory it could happen and there will be people that

 will have problems with using urea on their skin in a concentration of 10 percent and actually

 there is a drug that is called calmeride cream or calmeride cream if you like and that contains a

 10 percent urea and it contains a 5 percent lactic acid and in this product here you have a lactic

 acid as well now the lactic acid I would say it is an AHA so an alpha hydroxy acid but I would say

 it's not that what is the main problem with the calmeride cream because the calmeride cream is

 actually it has 10 percent urea in it and when they are describing all that sort of stuff about

 what you should look out for when you're using a product like that is that basically if you have

 any sort of a kidney problems then maybe you should go a little slow on the product so I would say

 that some product which has 10 percent urea as the active ingredient as well as lactic acid as

 an active ingredient but it is mainly because of the urea content that they are saying that you

 might have issues if you are having a kidney problems or have had that in the past so I'm

 thinking if a drug that has 10 percent urea needs to have this sort of disclaimer that you need to

 take a little care if you have some kidney issues well I would think that another product which has

 a 10 percent urea as you can see up here should maybe come with the same sort of take care notice

 but it I don't see that it does that so anyway I would say if you are using something that is so

 moisturizing with the 10 percent of urea maybe it is more likely that you should go in and think
