I do think we have to consider Maybe it hasn't come as far as we want it to now if we compare the EOS r10 versus the Nikon z50 Actually, both cameras have a very similar design setup in that they're similar size nice grips excellent ergonomics The Nikon z50 can shoot 11 frames per second mechanical mode with autofocus again The EOS r10 does have an advantage there and I do feel like the EOS r10's Autofocus performance overall is better than the Nikon z50 experience Especially more intuitive to set up and use now both the r10 and the z50 bodies lack ibis that embody image Stabilization so we're on par there, but really when it comes to video that's again where the r10 pulls ahead The Nikon z50 doesn't shoot 4k 60 So again, the r10 does have some updated video specs now lastly neither Canon or Nikon have an extensive lineup of dedicated aps-c lenses for these mirrorless cameras both cameras do have an extensive full frame line of mirrorless lenses that they can use on these Cameras and both companies have a lot of legacy glass that you can use with adapters So again in that regard pretty much on par, so I would choose any EOS r10 over a Nikon z50 in most situations I feel that it is a better camera, but keep in mind the z50 is again a much older camera But now we've got to talk about the EOS r10 versus the Fujifilm Xs10 This is definitely could be stiffer competition because the Fujifilm Xs10 is an excellent handling body great ergonomics as well But the Xs10 does have that big advantage with ibis having the in-body image stabilization is a huge advantage for both photography and videography Autofocus performance I would actually they'll give it to the EOS r10 I just like that It's a little bit more consistent a little bit easier to set up and the Canon EOS r10 definitely shoots faster 15 frames per second Versus the Xs10 8 frames per second mechanical shutter mode yes, you can go faster with electronic shutter But both these cameras have fairly middling performance with their electronic shutters now when it comes to video That's where the Fujifilm Xs10 does give a little bit of a stiffer competition compared to the competitors the Fujifilm can go to 240 frame per second slow-mo over the EOS r10 120 frame per second slow-mo in 1080 albeit it gets very soft when you go to 240 Let's not forget as well the Fujifilm Xs10 does have the option for a headphone input using an adapter That would be really handy today, and I honestly consider some of that absolutely essential if you're gonna do a lot of videography So overall we've got a Canon which focuses a little bit faster shoots a little bit quicker has some very powerful video features But we have a Fujifilm Xs10 which has ibis and which has some better handling features when it comes to video in some ways And so I think this might be very tough competition the Canon EOS r10 is not exactly Destroying the competition and it is easily the most modern of all these cameras because its competition has been out for quite some time Still that does not change the fact that if you're looking for a good entry-level Aps-c mirrorless camera the EOS r10 does bring a lot to the table if you're looking for like a basic sports camera or family camera Really this would be an excellent choice. I think if you're a video creator like you know you're vlogging Just like I'm kind of doing right now. It's also got some very interesting video features I do still wish that the video focus would stay on me I'm actually manually focused right now because honestly it has been drifting a few shots I've had to reshoot those but if you want to get a better experience I think maybe the EOS r7 is worth the extra money Otherwise though at this price point the r10 is a fantastic choice do leave your comments below Let us know what you think like and subscribe to the channel

 They both shoot 4k 24 They both shoot 4k 30 but the a6400 has a crop at 4k 30 and the a6400 cannot shoot 4k 60 So the EOS r10 really does start to pull ahead. Canon RP or R10?

Good beginner camera

 Now on the top here it also has the advanced accessory shoe on here very similar to what we have on like our R3 on the R7 and on this one as well so you can use those more advanced accessories. We also have the button on the front here which allows you to switch between autofocus and manual focus as well. Now the sensor inside here it's a 24 million pixel sensor once again it's quite similar to what we have on some of our other cameras. The difference with this one is that it's coupled to our Digic X processor so you will notice better image quality especially in low light conditions when those ISOs start to move up

 We've been to Cheshire Falconry in Northridge with Canon where we've had a first look at the brand new Canon EOS R7 and EOS R10 cross sensor mirrorless cameras. These are the latest additions to the Canon EOS R system and the first APS-C sensor cameras in the R range. They're small, lightweight and affordable entries into Canon's EOS R series. If you've already watched our EOS R7 video you'll know that just because they're smaller sensors doesn't mean they're not impressive new releases

 Remember that initial pre-orders will be supplied with a free lens adapter so you can use your existing Canon EF lenses or you can buy it with a new RFS 18-45mm kit lens for just £979 or the new RFS 18-150mm travel zoom for just £1229. Personally I chose the 18-150mm which is the equivalent of a 28-240mm thanks to the crop factor or in simpler terms roughly an eight time zoom. This is a versatile lens and it's so small and lightweight it's an ideal all-rounder. The battery inside it it's an LPE 17 so it's the same battery that comes in like our 250D or our 850D so if you are using those at the moment if you do have those it's very easy for you to then step onto this camera

New Canon EOS R10 Review

I am a minor and am using my father's dslr camera, I bought a couple crappy lenses and use a telescope for some stuff, I have ~2k usd to buy a new mirrorless camera preferably a cannon eos camera. If this is a bad sub to post in, my apologies.

What mirrorless camera should I get?

 I ended up taking over 300 shots and still had half a battery left. So that's much better than I was expecting. And while the kit only includes one battery, generic batteries can be purchased fairly cheap from third party manufacturers, with 3 batteries and a charger running around $30. So that's not bad either

 In front of the front dial, there is a function button that can be customized, with a default setting to adjust ISO when used with the dial. Very intuitive controls right off the bat, with the option to further customize and dial them in to your specific needs.  At the back of the camera you'll find a joystick, which is really nice to see on a non-pro level camera. Next to the joystick is the almighty AF-on button to lock in autofocus

The R10 is my first mirrorless, and its been an absolute blast to work with. Released at the same time as the more advanced R7 camera, the R10 delivers an affordable yet feature filled entry level camera that stands out thanks to its advanced autofocus tracking system, ultra fast burst rate, 4k video resolution, and of course its support for Canon's entire line of lenses - both past, and future.. All of these features are wrapped up in a neat little package that's both lightweight and portable

  Inside the box you'll find the EOS R10 body, the 18-45mm STM kit lens, a neck strap, LP-E17 battery, and the charger. Pretty standard fare for any camera, along with the instruction manual and warranty registration information.  Being used to the heavier body of a DSLR, the first thing I noticed about the R10 is how lightweight it is. Compared to its all metal sister camera, the R7, the R10 has a body made from a combination of metal alloy and plastic

So good, it feels like I'm cheating....

 It is about the same price. It has fantastic features. You can output 10-bit 422 externally. You can't do it internally, but you can if you have a Ninja V record 10-bit 422

8 is doing a great job, but I also used the 35 millimeter f1.8. It's also a macro lens, and I just used that out here in Handsome Alley, and just look at how nice that looks. Just amazing image quality coming out of this little camera that is sub $1,000

 Here we go. So I'll list some things I like about the R10 and some things I don't like about the R10 while I show you some photos and some video examples of why the camera is such a powerhouse. But before I get into the pros and cons, just look at this image quality that you can get. Like right now, the 15 to 35 f2

 It really falls apart compared to the other two cameras. Now, you should always have enough light on your subject to get a good image, but if you're somebody, you wanna do like ditch diggin' vlogs and stuff, and there's no other lights around, then this camera is not going to do a great job in those very low light conditions. Now, in terms of lenses I would buy for this guy, well, number one, I'd get that nifty 50, it's like $199, that would be a great portrait lens because it'd be closer to the 85 millimeter portrait length that people are used to, so for $199, you get a fantastic portrait lens at 1.8

Between customizable filters and different modes for different scene styles, there are a ton of options built into this thing. A lot of them are very similar to some of the specialty filters you can find on a cell phone, so they’ll be familiar. Canon did a great job of adding useful features that I’ll actually use like subject detection, auto tracking, image stabilization, and SO much more

 It autofocuses perfectly and adjusts seamlessly to different lighting conditions. Obviously, you can get into the more advanced settings when you're ready but if you want to just fire up the camera and not think about anything, the auto functions are all fantastic.  *Tons of Settings and Smart Features- I don’t have enough space here to explain all of the different settings and functions that this camera has, but trust me when I say there are a bunch. Between customizable filters and different modes for different scene styles, there are a ton of options built into this thing

Finally a feature-filled, high-end camera that's as easy and intuitive as a cell phone camera.

 Once I've fully tested the final production model I'll link to part two here plus of course I have my hands on reviews of the R7 and the two RFS zooms for you in the meantime to keep you going. My first impressions of the R10 are certainly promising with it offering a decent array of features and controls for the money. Sure it's similarly priced to the EOS RP but you may prefer to trade that full frame sensor for a more feature packed body while the smaller sensor will be beneficial if you're shooting small and distant subjects. And while RFS effectively kills EFM Canon frankly had to pull off the band aid and develop a new line that's forwards and backwards compatible with full frame just like Sony and Nikon

 And now with digital movie IS enabled on the R10 which understandably incurs a crop but makes the view much steadier. Which brings me to the end of part one of my R10 review. Once I've fully tested the final production model I'll link to part two here plus of course I have my hands on reviews of the R7 and the two RFS zooms for you in the meantime to keep you going.  Hi I'm Gordon from Camera Labs and this is my hands on first looks review of the Canon EOS R10, a mid-range, cropped frame mirrorless camera with a 24 megapixel APS-C sensor and 4K 60p video. Announced in May 2022 at a body price of $979 or £899, Canon describes it as an all-rounder pitched roughly between the 850D and 90D DSLRs. It's also priced quite close to the full frame EOS RP but the smaller, more affordable sensor allows a more sophisticated feature set. Plus for some people, the smaller APS-C sensor is actually preferable to full frame, not only cheaper to manufacture but effectively magnifying the view from all lenses by 1

 The smaller battery means you're unlikely to get beyond an hour of 4k though and you can see here the battery icon flashing as I approach 60 minutes. You'll also see the new temperature meter helpfully indicating how close you are to overheating with a 10 segment scale, here currently at two bars and the camera only feeling a little warm. If memory and cooling aren't an issue you can theoretically record up to two hours on the R10 under USB power but under a full battery charge alone I managed to record a single 4k clip lasting 58 minutes and 49 seconds. When I tested the R7 the battery lasted for just over double that time
