 You can't drop it from a ski lift. You can't get to leave it behind for any reason and when it's time to put the shell back on it's really as simple as slide the two together, you can hear the velcro line up there and you're right back together for our waterproof super cold-weather, mint

 Here you do have a nice loop on the front, so you can attach it to to a carabiner to a pack to whatever you might need to or just hang it up to dry. You'Ve got some great reinforcement right in between the thumb and and where the forefinger sits in this glove. So if you're gripping something like a pole, ski pole, trekking pole, if you're snowshoeing with it you've got reinforcement, there got a wrist adjustment here to keep snow and wind I'm coming in the glove and then to further bolster that you've got a one-handed pull gong. Clip right at the back to to cinch overtop your jacket, the liner for the mercury mitt has what's often called a lobster construction or a trigger finger construction

 There'S it's got a removable liner, a wrist gauntlet. So you don't lose them when you have to take them off to do some stuff. A removable liner scott itself has a a little trigger claw, instead of a lot of mittens they're, just solid with the fingers together. This has a little bit so potentially you could pull your liner out and do some uh work this way, but i found that should probably be a useless feature because you end up really needing to have your fingers for dexterity

 This is a very warm mitt uh black diamonds, rated these in the temperature rating from zero fahrenheit down to minus 20 fahrenheit. I can attest to the fact that they're totally comfortable in at least in wind, chills down to minus 20 or below never had any issues in peru this year in the summit, this is a very warm glove. There'S it's got a removable liner, a wrist gauntlet. So you don't lose them when you have to take them off to do some stuff

 There'S a tightening strap on the wrist as well. Keep the snow out really had no issues at all. With these gloves last thing you want to do when you're on a summit. Push is have to think about

 Second, there's a separate space for your index finger, which makes no sense because the whole point of mitts is to keep your fingers together, thus helping them stay warmer.  It'S super warm. The inside has a very comfy. It'S like a fake. It sort of feels like sheep's fur, but it's it's, I'm pretty sure it's a synthetic material, but it is very comfortable to have your hands in here

 You'Ve got a pretty good size of gauntlet right along here. You can place and when you put it on it'll cover up about here, because this is where the insulation ends is right along the seam and then this is all gauntlet in this collar will usually go over your jackets or whatever, which is nice and then, of Course you can cinch it down really easily just like that by tugging on that to make sure the snow stays out and the heat stays in and then to release, you simply give that a tug opens it right up, and you can pop this bad boy out. What'S nice about these is if the outside shell and the inner liner can be separated to held in place by velcro, but the internal liner can be taken out. So if you want to dry it out or put it in the sleeping bag, so it's warm anything like that

 Here, it's reinforced right around the finger. We'Re just handy and then leather wraps around all the way to the top. The backs have a nice construction. You got your Black Diamond logo, of course, and then you got a strap here to cinch things down around the wrists

 Black dye makes great products, so a few features be dry. Is there material on the outside, except for the gold leather here, which is super durable, nice and soft? This right here is your MSD Muta storage device. Snap pad must have you can see, be dry, that's what they call their material Polartec. That'S for the liner, which is right here

 Gives you an edge in doing things like taking up your beer this here, craft beer in the mountains can cost up to two dollars a bottle: tough economic times you're in the mountains winter, I see you could slip, spell break the beer and then you're forced to Drink PBR or beers like this even worse, let's face a Keystone Light and PBR should be choices, never an only option.  Sometimes it's too long. It gets cold and with a lot of gloves, why mitts, once your hands get cold, you're screwed for the rest of the day, these will warm back up they're amazing. Now I love mitts. I don't know why a lot of people don't like mitts they're super warm

2011 Black Diamond Mercury Mitt - Review

  So I do not find these to be quality mitts ready for the coldest of our temperate climate.  And why would an established company use such a flimsy insulation?

  My disappointment begins with the insulation flattening out after two short uses in -15C weather driving and shovelling.  Additionally, my hands got cold mostly from grasping cold objects but also my index finger was colder than the rest.  So I do not find these to be quality mitts ready for the coldest of our temperate climate.  And why would an established company use such a flimsy insulation?

I had heard others say they were great and durable but that was years ago and changes have likely occurred.
