Furry lining too tight on finger

 The inside has a very comfy, it's like a fake, sort of feels like sheep's fur, but I'm pretty sure it's a synthetic material, but it is very comfortable to have your hands in here. Very warm. Another nice thing is the inner liner that's warm. It also has a trigger finger in here, so you can have a little more dexterity, so you can move just my pointer finger and then the rest of my fingers, sort of like that, a little bit

 Second, there's a separate space for your index finger, which makes no sense because the whole point of mitts is to keep your fingers together, thus helping them stay warmer. I was able to squeeze all four fingers into the same space anyway, but it was quite annoying. Finally, there is no strap for securing the mitts to your wrists. That is a feature that is very important for anyone riding a chairlift, or in my case, removing one of the mittens on a windy mountain

These mitts came highly recommended by a lot of people, so I gave them a try. Unfortunately I was disappointed with them for a few reasons. First, they're not as warm as I expected. I think the main problem is that they do not block wind effectively, so even when temperatures aren't all that bad, my fingers were still very cold because of the wind

 And you have this wrist strap right here, which I never use anyway. So lobster claw in the mitt helps a little bit more with dexterity, gives you an edge in doing things like picking up your beer. This here craft beer in the mountains can cost up to $2 a bottle. Tough economic times

2011 Black Diamond Mercury Mitt - Review

My hands do get cold easily. I just wore these at 14 F no ...

  My disappointment begins with the insulation flattening out after two short uses in -15C weather driving and shovelling.  Additionally, my hands got cold mostly from grasping cold objects but also my index finger was colder than the rest.  So I do not find these to be quality mitts ready for the coldest of our temperate climate.  And why would an established company use such a flimsy insulation?

Recent gift I thought would work out in my way too long search for decent mitts able to handle -30C; the search continues.  I had heard others say they were great and durable but that was years ago and changes have likely occurred.
