Easy to use except a few things. The handle folds in which is great for storing, but when using it tends to flip in and out as you are turning the waffles over. I wish it would lock into place when in use. I also wish it came with a measuring cup for the batter

Over all good but some things I wish were differen

 I hesitate to use a recipe from one of my cookbooks. Believe this leaves young cooks unable to use because they will only use the recipes in the booklet. I would not recommend this to a friend without telling them about the recipe issue.

If your first batch of waffles stick, or don't turn out as expected, don't give up. You have to find the right balance. I use cooking spray. Why? Because my keto waffles would stick every time! I found that using cream cheese in the waffle mix does not work

So i found an almond flour recipe from "Low carb yum" that worked great. No they don't taste like real waffles, but they did cook up soft and fluffy and did not stick

 For the price, this is a great machine! Would have been a 5 star if i didn't have to use cooking spray, but that is a very minor thing. I recommend this product. Honestly if anyone has bad reviews then maybe they just don't know how to use this iron, it does come with an instruction manual.
