 So those are the two things that we used, they worked amazing together so I recommend those two things. There's obviously tons of different methods out there, I wasn't willing to do a cry it out method, I couldn't do that. Faith happened to be really easy and she never did cry, never really had to go in there after like putting her in her crib, she would just kind of like went in her crib and fell asleep. So she never cried, I personally would not be able to do a cry it out method though

 So if they wake up throughout the night, which they do, they're babies and they're going to wake up throughout the night, I don't know what it is about this suit but it's just so comfortable and it prevents them from like being all spazzy and stuff. So she falls back asleep very easily, she just falls back asleep on her own when she wakes up through the night, so it's great. And so it looks like it would be too hot but for Faith, she does fine. I put her in it sometimes with like a short sleeve onesie, sometimes just her diaper and you just pop them in, zip them up, and I swear she falls asleep within like seconds or minutes but it's incredible

 So I think I listened to the whole book in like 3 hours and it just seemed like a really good fit. So in the book she talks about getting your baby on a schedule. She also talks about how you are going to like a baby needs to eat a certain amount of calories in a day right? And so the goal is to slowly reduce what you're feeding your baby at night throughout the night and increase what she's eating throughout the day. And so it happens slowly, it's not like an overnight fix or anything but it definitely works

 but he didn't and I noticed he startled a lot in his sleep and that's usually what woke him up. So with this it is not tight to where it's difficult to get on by any means, but it is a little bit heavier than a normal sleeper would be and then it kind of compresses as you can see around them so they feel really safe and snug. and I think that's what makes this work so well for him. It's not difficult to get on them, which is my main concern is like trying to get a baby's feet and hands or something that's already difficult to put on

Works as promised, but has awkward fit.

 My friend Aaliyah had this fleece sleepsuit, and luckily when we were using this, it was around March, end of March, maybe early April, it was still a little chilly. We tend to keep our house pretty cool anyway, and they do recommend that if you are using a sleepsuit, that you keep baby's room or your room where we're baby sleeping relatively cool, because baby can get pretty hot in here. Sleepsuit itself is really cute, it's really funny, your baby will look like the little Michelin Man, little marshmallow man when your baby's in here, it's super adorable. But yeah, sleepsuit fleece on the outside comes with two zippers, you open these guys up

 Inside there's this really nice, comfortable, almost like jersey material that I found was really nice in terms of breathability, especially with the sleepsuit being fleece and a little bit thicker. Really easy to wash as well, these sleepsuits can go in the washer and the dryer, which is great. This is a three to six month sleepsuit, huge fan. We used this until Hugo, they recommend that this is good for 12 to 18 pounds

 And if you're worried about the sleep suit being too hot, again, just know that you're supposed to keep the room relatively cool, I would say maybe put a fan in there for baby and it does breathe. It's not like this stifling little container of heat, it does breathe a little bit. But yeah, I ended up transferring him in here for four and a half months old. Now that he's six months, I really don't think he would fit in this

So these super cozy soft sleeves help with that plus they're hands-free so they can still work on their grasp and their gripping which is really important for young babies. The other thing to note is that you can see their feet come out the bottom and are open and that really helps with temperature regulation. The Magic Merlin is made of a super cozy cotton and then a poly fill so it's really fluffy and soft but also breathable

  To be more serious, though, we also had to make sure he was either in just a regular onesie or just a diaper or the room was under 70°F as he did get toasty in that suit, so just something to keep in mind if you're in a warmer environment. I'm sure it'll work great for parents whose babies don't constantly stick their hands in their face when trying to fall asleep, thus keeping themselves awake..
